Vacation!

I'm going on Vacation Thursday. I will be back in 2 weeks!!! Don't kick me off of your links or boycott my site due to infrequent updates please. I will not have internet. We are going down south (Tennessee, New Orleans (maybe), other places). See ya soon!

Parlez-vous Francais?

Wish me luck! Today, in a couple of hours,I take my french placement test. Because I switched my major I now need a French 300 credit, but it takes a few classes to get there. Hopefully my high school french will get me out of a course (or two).

What can I say, I'm a history major.....

We went to Greenfield Village on Sunday, one of the hottest days we've had so far. It's a good thing all those old homes had air conditioning- oh wait, they didn't. Despite the heat, it was a pretty good time.

I wish I could take the credit for the pictures, but Noah took them. This is another one of my favorites.

Baptism

Noah got baptized today out at the Vine. It was the first time he'd ever been baptized since he wasn't as a baby. It was such a great moment, I got tears in my eyes. I hope to have a picture soon. It was also cool to see Andy and Matt as well as Kathleen getting baptized. What a great day.

It was ok.....

I saw the second Pirates movie tonight and I have to say that it was ok. I liked the first one better. I can't say much about it, but there were certain things I did not like.

I'll try again.....

Ok, so I guess I'll watch the Little Mermaid again and see if I like it better this time. Apparently it suits me. I just remember being horrified when Ursula was stabbed through the stomach. But then again, I've never watched Bambi after the mother got shot either.

Instead of Independence Day, let this be known as Aaron Burr vs. Alexander Hamilton Day

yes that's right, July 4th 1804 was the day of the famous duel. I think this is a good reminder to not allow our problems to develop into violence but to settle them before the sun goes down.

Alice in Wonderland!!!!

Some of the guesses, such as the Little Mermaid and Beauty and the Beast, are actually my least favorite disney movies (oh, and I hate the Lion King too). But Alice in Wonderland is a classic. And speaking of a 'very happy unbirthday'.. Sierra and I have now decided to celebrate our birthdays together since they are so close (Me-Feb. 7th and Sierra Feb. 10). So join us around February 8.5 or so when we will both be 22.
