I think I caught my computer's virus.....

Just as I was about to give my immune system a pat on the back (I've been around so many sick people and have thus far been ok), I think I have come down with something. Yesterday started out as a normal day, the only thing I had was a bit of congestion/sneezing but I've been waking up with that for the whole month of September. However, around 1:00 pm yesterday while at work I noticed I had a bit of a sore throat coming on. By the time I got home from class at around 5: 30, I was ready for my chicken noodle soup which my mom had bought for me. Around 9:00 pm I had used anywhere between 30-50 tissues. My temp was then 99.2. Is it just me or did that escalate kind of quickly? I remember it used to take me at least two days to start feeling sick. My poor sister was diagnosed during the week of homecoming with Larangitis, Pharngitis, Bronchitis, and swollen lymphnodes. The only "itis" I think she was missing was Hepititis. But anyway, I feel blah. I can't really sleep, that's why I'm blogging at 4 am. Until this is over I will be popping tylenol cold pills. I can't wait to have the health I had less than 24 hours ago returned to me.

Random thoughts

I finished my paper at midnight yesterday and turned it in at 3:30 today. Never again. I think I have learned by lesson about procrastination.
Has anyone heard the new song by Weird Al? It's a parody of the song 'ridin dirty' by chamillionaire. Although it is now called 'white and nerdy'. The music video is even better. I recommend looking for it on Youtube.
Also, I read on Greenfield Village's website (yes I do look at it) and apparently during the month of October they are going to have Halloween weekends. The headless horsemen will be riding around and the kids can go collect candy. How cute.

Goals

I think it's good to have goals in life, that is why I have come up with a few of my own. I don't know when I am going to accomplish these goals or how, but at least I have them.

1) Learn to swing dance.
I realize this is not a skill I will use everyday- but I love the 40's! However, since Noah is at school, he obviously can't be my partner and I think I'm running out of guy friends to ask.

2) Learn to play guitar.
I can't read notes. I am also impatient and don't like going through the scales. I want to be able to play like Nancy Wilson right off the bat.

3) Learn to knit.
I want to be able to make people scarves and see the joy on their face.

4) Become fluent in French.
Je ne parle pas francais tres bien

Instead of working on my homework.....

I have decided to blog! I don't know why I am such a procrastinator. I have a 5 page paper due monday and I have yet to finish the book. I also have to come up with a thesis for my research paper by tomorrow. My topic is Pirates; a french pirate named Jean Florin as a matter of fact. You would think that my impending work would motivate me to do something, however, that is not the case.

New Job!!!

I now have a new job (well, this is my third week). I work at the Erie Apple Orchards!! I've always loved that place and now I am actually working there. I just love fall. The trees, the smell, hot apple cider from starbucks, everything. So come see my this weekend I will be working from 12-7 Sat. and 12-6 Sun. Bring the Kids.

I've become the new cole trickle

The main two reason I have not been updating are...
1) Computer virus. I don't have access to any pictures or anything and I have to use my mom's computer.
2) I am busy. I know I know, common excuse. But I've never work 22 hours and went to school before. It's a lot to adjust to. Plus, I'm taking two writing intensive courses which are kicking my butt.

However, now I am on the right track, so hopefully I will be able to update more often.
